Dear Lucia and Family,
We have been so saddened to hear of Al's passing. We have so many good memories of you and Al- small group bible studies, church and of course Jay and Al in Chief Complaint.
Al's gentle spirit, his creative talents, and his faith will be missed by all.
We wish we could be with you this day but a family gathering this week prevents us from making the trip. But, you will be prayed for. Your church family will be a comfort, as well as the many friends who love you both.

Lucia and family:
My heart breaks for your loss. Although I didn't know Al very well, the contact that I had with him was so precious to me. We are not related, but I wish we had been. Al was so generous and helpful in trying to find my "roots". - I will always remember that. The first time I saw his photograph I was looking for some resemblance to me - wishful thinking on my part. I still felt a kinship and (I hope you won't be offended) I thought we favored each other! I don't know how that could be - I think we proved that there was no ancestry there. I will miss him very much. I enjoyed his humor and think we were of the same mind on many issues. My deepest sympathies to all of you.
