Obituary of Marian Joyce Oxendine Benenhaley

Marian Joyce Oxendine Benenhaley, 87, widow of James C. Benenhaley, died Friday, May 7, 2021. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Mansfield Oxendine and Nellie Benenhaley Oxendine. Surviving are 3 daughters, Claudia B. Gainey (Wayne), Ammie B. Burdick and Wendy Benenhaley (Keith), 1 brother, Burgess Oxendine, 19 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Joyce Carroll and Lydia Patterson, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Ralph Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow in the Springbank Baptist Church Cemetery.
