Obituary of George William Horton

George William Horton, 89, husband to Oenone Cole Horton for 36 years, died Saturday, November 6, 2021, at his home. Born in Galio, Ohio, he was a son of the late William Edward Horton and Anna Hailey Horton. Mr. Horton was a member of Westside Baptist Church. He was a retired U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant with 24 years of service. He loved God, country and his family. Surviving are his wife of Sumter; one son, Guy Horton of San Antonio, TX; two grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors.
