To Sims, Warren and Barbara, My sister Betty and I send our deepest condolences to you all on the death of your father. Of course, we remember his making house calls for us around 1955......he was always supportive of me and my attending medical school and always had interest in what I was doing when I came home to Sumter to sell shoes in the store in the summer.....He was an inspiration to us all in how to live a wonderful and full productive life. I hope to practice in Atlanta as long as he did in Souith Carolina. Best wishes to all of you at this sad time. Harold Brody and Betty Brody

I am a native of Sumter South Carolina now living in San Francisco California working as a interventional radiologist. I started medical school in 2004 after interviewing for my spot in the class of 2008 with the renowned Dr. Propst. This ridiculing process is not a easy time for any student. My short time with him that day is truly my only memory of the grueling 8 hour interview. Dr Propst not only was instrumental in ensuring my acceptance into the University of South Carolina school of medicine but also made me feel like I was a patient in his care who would see me through this process. My family & I could never thank him enough. My deepest condolences to his loved ones. The medical community in South Carolina will never forget him. R. Furman Borst, MD

Dr. Propst was my doctor when I was a child. He never forgot a name. He was one of the finest Doctors I ever knew besides Dr. Allen Bruner. Dr. Propst helped us with my son 25 years ago when he discover our son had a langauage disableity.. Fifteen years later I saw Dr. Propst at Swan Lake while he was jogging. Again he remembered not only my name but my parents name as well as my siblings? He will be greatly missed and he was well loved and respected man.

Heartsickening loss for his family, his friends, his community and the world. I say the world because it would be like Heaen on earth if everyone on it were like Helen and Pap, but that can never be because there is no one like either of them - and there never will be. Pap spent his entire life doing good: for his patients, his family, his community and his God. I loved him and everyone who knew him did, too. We all need God's comfort by The Holy Spirit until we can meet him again one day. He and Helen are together again, and one day we will be with them, too.

Morgan and I are very saddened to hear of Dr. Propst passing. He was such an exceptional and caring man. There are so many things I can say how he has heped our family personally. As a YMCA staff, we knew his first love was Mrs. Helen and then swimming. His love for swimming carried over to many of our youth who saw his endurance for the sport. Dear heavenly father, Thank you for sharing Dr. Propst with us for many years. We will miss him greatly. Denise Lewis
