Obituary of William Boyd McFarland

William Boyd McFarland, 58, husband of Janice Bell McFarland, died Saturday, February 5, 2022, at his home in Sumter. Born in Bennettsville, SC, he was a son of the late Claude Henry McFarland and the late Veronica Roy McFarland Davis. He worked in shipping at Korn Industries in Sumter. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Crystal McFarland (Walt) of Sumter; 3 brothers, James McFarland (Sadie), Kevin McFarland (Mary), and Kim McFarland, all of Sumter; 3 grandchildren, Tayshawn Hall, Antwone Hall, and Liam Jackson, all of Sumter; 2 nephews and 1 niece. A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday at Promise Land Ministries with Rev. James McElveen officiating. Burial will be at Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Thursday at Promise Land Ministries prior to the service and other times at the home of his daughter, 540 Timmerman Street, Sumter.
