Obituary of Aaron Michael Lopez

Aaron Michael Lopez, 53, loving husband of Donna Floyd Lopez, died Monday, March 7, 2022, at Prisma Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC Born in Shreveport, LA, he was the son of Ramon Lopez and Susan Wagner Lopez. Aaron joined the Army right out of high school where he received a sharpshooter medal before he transferred to the Air Force where he served overseas and was a veteran of Desert Storm. He loved tennis and played on the team while at Sumter High School. He loved scuba diving with his brother and wife. He also enjoyed attending the Columbia Fireflies baseball games, and any sporting events with his family. His time spent in England growing up led him to become a lifelong Liverpool football club fan. His love of board games and rpg gaming led him to write several adventures and was a published writer in this genre. Aaron possessed a sense of humor that would disarm and capture any heart. He was a technical wiz that helped many through his career working with phones and on computers. Most of all he was a kind, gentle man who will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Donna of thirty years, his parents and two brothers Stephen Lopez and Jason Lopez {Claudia Mora}, and Uncle Norman Lopez {Mary Anne}. He is also survived by many extended family members, in-laws, and friends. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday March 12th, 2022. Visitation will be at 1 pm with the Service starting at 2 pm at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home at 221 Broad Street Sumter, SC 29150. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
