Obituary of Guadalupe Ramos Hill

Guadalupe Ramos Hill, 79, wife of Reuben Murdrick Hill, died Thursday, April 7, 2022, at her home. Born in Pharr, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Ramon Ramos and Petra Maldonado Ramos. Mrs. Hill was a U. S. Air Force veteran and served during the Vietnam Era. She made a career in civil service as an accounting and finance officer at Shaw Air Force Base. Surviving are her husband of Sumter; one son, David Allen Hill (Elaine); one daughter, Victoria Hill Thompson; three grandchildren, Vanessa, Tyler, and Leigh; two brothers, Joe Ramos (Irma) and Israel Ramos (Diana); three sisters, Hortencia Guevara, Victoria Suarez (Ramiro), and Delia Ramos. She was preceded in death by one sister, Adelina Ramirez. Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Chan officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Monday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
