I will never forget that time your daddy took us out in the ocean, Leigh, when I was with y’all on vacation. Remember how we kept crashing through every wave in the inlet in that tiny boat - the tide must’ve been coming in, and your daddy just kept driving us out as we kept bouncing higher and higher! It was such an adventure, and my adrenaline was running high!!
I love you and your mom, my friend, and I will be praying for you both and your boys during this time. What a great loss - y’all loved him so deeply. Giant hugs and many prayers.

I grew up as a Horne girl, born in Sumter, and loving all the Edmunds and Walkers mostly because Momma did. Her friendship with your families were lifelong treasures, and I’m all the better for the memories. I remember Mary painting my fingernails when I was about 6, and I’m pretty sure it was Ben(?) who told my older sister there was no Santa. Momma told her you couldn’t believe anything ‘those ole boys said’ so she kept believing!! Every little girl should be so lucky to have the Edmunds in her memories; and I always love that Ben’s ‘little girl’ babysat my children when she was at Converse! Love and prayers for you all, Leigh.

Even though we have only known Mr Ben for a very short time, what an impact he had on my Allie. Allie became a very special friend to Mr Ben and we will cherish our sweet memories of him. We will forever cherish this picture and the memory of that day.

One of my favorite memories of Ben was the year he decided the boys needed dirt bikes for Christmas. Then, he created a trail for them around the perimeter of the yard, and through the shrubs. I always giggled when I rode by their house, and saw “Ben’s Bike Track”. The grass grew back, but the memories will last a lifetime.
