David was the epitome of a “Southern Gentleman”. Never saw him in the 60 years of knowing him without a smile, love of life and everyone! He will be missed! Prayers for Jeannie and the family he loved!

I never walked into the Sumter Post Office back in the late 1980’s without leaving with a smile from David . He was always so nice ( as was Jean) . Lots of good memories from those days. Condolences to the Floyd family.

David was a kind, sweet , happy man! We spent many hours together long ago. He taught me to shoot pool at my daddy's store. He would come out to 'practice" and in turn I learned a lot from him. Much more than the game. Time got away and I didn't see him much anymore but I have never forgotten his friendship and kindness. He was always smiling and happy!
