Obituary of Adville Winkles Weatherford

Adville Winkles Weatherford, 88, widow of Colonel Edwin Gillard Weatherford, died Friday, November 25, 2022, at her home.
Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late David Milton Winkles and Bertha Abbiegaile Stafford Winkles.
Mrs. Weatherford, a graduate of Winthrop College was a retired elementary and special education school teacher and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Oswego.
Surviving are two sons, Douglas Edwin Weatherford, wife Karen, grandchildren Brent of Orlando, FL and Steven of Jacksonville, FL; and Anthony Scott Weatherford, wife Laura, of Savannah, GA; grandchildren Jenna Bass, husband Ryan Bass and great-grandson Sawyer and great-granddaughter Marnie of Long Beach, MS and Bryan Weatherford, wife Brandyn of Birmingham, AL; a brother, David M. Winkles, wife Cass of Greenville; a sister, Marilyn Ham of Sumter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, December 3, 2022, in Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Whited officiating.
Burial will be in the cemetery adjacent to the church.
The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. Saturday at the church prior to the service and a reception will be held in the church Fellowship Hall following the burial.
