Obituary of Dorothy Disher Barkley McGraw

Dorothy Disher Barkley McGraw, 79, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at National Healthcare Center. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Disher and Ida Mae Avins McIntosh. Mrs. McGraw was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene and New Start Church. She was a retired Manager at Sumter Laundry and Cleaners. She was twice married, first to the late Larvie William “Jack” Barkley and later to the late Jim McGraw. Surviving are two daughters, Kim Rogers (Robert) and Denise Taylor (Jeff); three sons, Gene Barkley (Wanda), Ricky Barkley (Paulette), Stanley Barkley (Linda); two brothers, Larry McIntosh (Linda), Randy McIntosh (Cathy); 13 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janette Kolb and a brother, James McIntosh. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Barkley, R. J. Rogers, Adam Barkley, Bobby Kolb, Robert Card and Frankie Card. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Friday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 3595 Osteen Road.
