Obituary of Evelyn Noles

Evelyn Virginia Brown Noles, 88, widow of Rev. Mancy C. Noles, died Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Malcolm E. Brown and Lillian Holiday Brown. Mrs. Noles was a member of Walkers Chapel and was formerly employed by Becton-Dickinson. Surviving are a daughter, Linda McCoy (Van) of Sumter; a son, William “Danny” Noles of Sumter; four sisters, Betty Goff and Barbara Broadway both of Sumter, Gloria Masters of Simpsonville, and Nancy Brewer of Sumter; four grandchildren, Christopher McCoy (Stacy), Stephanie Davis (Phillip), Lisa Earnhardt (Michael) and April Foley (Tim); and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday, December 29, 2022, in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with visitation at the funeral home from 12 Noon until 1 P.M. Rev. Nathaniel Brown and Rev. Gene Gilbert will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will also receive friends other times at the home of her daughter, Linda McCoy.
