I was so very saddened to hear the news of Mr. Barwick's passing. He was truly a hard working Christian man. He will be missed by many and our whole town of Sumter. My condolences to the family in this time of loss. May God grant you peace and comfort only he can provide.

What a friend! Oh, how he will be missed. His love for the Lord was just known. The gifts that God bestowed on him were used to glorify God, and bring joy and thought to those around him. He was full of stories, and if you are someone who was priveledged to hear one, then it's likely a story you will never forget!
One of my favorite memories of Clint was when he had come over for dinner with my family one evening.
My son was still an arm baby at the time; 3 months old. Clint had never held him. I just took my son, and said " here Clint......you want to hold Travis?". Not waiting for a response I handed my baby over to him. Clint reached out and took him, and then proceeded to tremble so hard that Travis was jiggling and giggling. Clint had a wide eyed look of
WHAT DO I DO WITH THIS! We all laughed. I took the baby back, and his expression of relief was undeniable! Such good memories of a dear friend.......I will see him again one day.
God Bless his family and friends!
Let fond memories bring you joy!

I'm deeply saddened with a broken heart. Clint was truly a true gentleman. The most pious man I've ever met. I'm thankful for our friendship, the long phone conversations. No words can describe the awesome look on his face when he stood in the presence of his SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, he definitely began to live his life at that time, Friday 13th, shouting and singing AMAZING GRACE!!! I miss you now, always will and I'll cherish our friendship until I see you again in HEAVEN, Brenda Bryant

Clint Barwick was one true friend. One of a kind. He tuned several Pianos for different Churches I've worked with over the years. He will be missed for sure. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Clint and I spent many long hours sharing stories about the experiences musicians have, and life in general, when he came to tune my piano. I always made coffee and dessert for him, or sometimes we’d share a meal and continue our conversations. He was a trusted piano technician, my friend, as well as a member of my family. I will sorely miss him as life goes on. I will never forget his soft-spoken southern gentleman’s voice. I knew I could depend on him to give me honest opinions and advice. Ah, Clint, how sad I am that you have already left us.

He was such a humble man. I have a plethora of memories from him tuning my house piano and from my decades as Organist and Choirmaster at Holy Comforter. He was the go to guy for all things piano. May angels lead him to paradise.

I have great memories of Clint and his love for God, and his ministry in music. He had sort of a dry sense of humor, but when you really got to know him, you would know where he was coming from. The last few years you could see Clint riding up or down Broad Street here in Sumter, which got to be less frequent lately. He will be missed, but we have the Blessed hope that we will see him and be with all our loved ones once again in the sweet forever.

The words don't come easy, because none can express what Clint meant and means to my entire family. My mother (Edna Poplin) adored him. He has given us music. laughter and true friendship since they day he came into our lives. His memory will never leave my heart.
