Obituary of Richard Furman McLeod

Richard Furman McLeod, 97, husband of Betty Jean McLeod, died Monday, February 6, 2023, at NHC of Sumter. Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Iley S. McLeod and Hattie Leala Poole McLeod. Mr. McLeod was a retired carpenter. Surviving are his wife of Sumter; three sons, Willie McLeod (Linda), Iley McLeod (Jackie) and Archie McLeod (Gloria); a brother, Billy McLeod; a daughter-in-law, Mary McLeod; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Heyward McLeod; and numerous brothers and sisters.
