Obituary of Nancy S. Russell

Nancy S. Russell, 61, wife of John Joseph Russell, died Thursday, July 23, 2015, at the Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Harmon Cuttino Strange and Betty Mitchell Strange. Mrs. Russell was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed by the Sumter County Department of Corrections and the Sumter County Alcohol & Drug Commission. Surviving are her husband; one son, Cory Henderson both of Sumter; two step-sons, Adam Russell of Sumter and Israel Russell of TX; two brothers, Carrol Watford of Sumter and Buddy Strange of Ridgeway; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
