Obituary of Henry Allen McFaddin

Henry Allen McFaddin, 68, husband of Virginia McElveen McFaddin, died Friday May 19.
Born in Manning, he was a son of the late Hugh Frank McFaddin, Sr. and Dorothy DuBose McFaddin.
Henry was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was the sole proprietor and retired from Henry A. McFaddin, CPA, LLC, where he worked tirelessly and joyfully for his clients. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he was a former Deacon, Elder, Clerk of Session, and Treasurer. He was the Moderator of New Harmony Presbytery, and also served on several committees; his favorite being the Committee for the Preparation of Ministry.
Surviving are his wife of Sumter; two daughters, Reese McFaddin Gately (Bob) of Daniel Island, SC and their children, Edwin, Emmett, Adele, Ivy; Callie McFaddin Black (Alan) of Wayne, NJ and their son, Henry; one brother, Charles McFaddin (Sylvia) of Sumter; one sister, Jane Francis (Bill) of Columbia, SC; numerous nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Sylvia “Sibbie” McFaddin and Ellen McFaddin.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank McFaddin, Jr. and Jack McFaddin; one sister, Lorraine Walker.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday May 24 at 2:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bob Brearley and Rev. Josie Holler officiating.
Private burial will be held in the Sardinia-Gable Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home for visitation on Tuesday May 23 from 4:00-6:00pm.
