Obituary of Sarah Taylor Kirven

Sarah Taylor Kirven, 93, widow of Thomas J. Kirven, Jr., died Saturday, June 10, 2023 at a local nursing facility. Born in Woodruff, SC, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Monroe Taylor and Josie Louise Flack Taylor. Mrs. Kirven was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed as a librarian at Ft. Jackson and Shaw Air Force Base. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Carolyn Taylor Hart Hedgepath; a sister, Jo Beth Buffington; and a brother, Arthur Taylor. Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph James officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.
