Obituary of Patsy Ann Scott

Patsy Ann Eason Scott, 84, wife of Phillip “Phil” Scott, passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Cumberland County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Earl Eason and Lillie Ruth Wade Eason. Mrs. Scott was a member of the Salvation Army Church and a volunteer at Tuomey Hospital. Surviving are her husband of Sumter; two daughters, Cynthia McDuffie and Melissa S. Burgess (Jeremy) both of Sumter; three grandchildren, Austin McDuffie, Cameron McDuffie and Natalie Burgess. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Minor and a sister, Alleene Cruz. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday at the Salvation Army Church with Major Geri Dancer officiating. Burial will be in the Pinewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M.
