Obituary of Sebastian B. Brown

Sebastian B. Brown, 89, widower of Helen Hutchinson Brown, died Friday, August 18, 2023, at his home. Born in Bishopville, he was a son of the late George C. Brown and Lula Beasley Brown. Mr. Brown was a member of Southside Baptist Church, a U. S. Army veteran and was retired from the U. S. Postal Service. Surviving are a son, Wayne B. Brown of Sumter; a daughter, Renée Franklin (Garry) of Sumter; three grandchildren, Colton Franklin (Paige) of Aynor, SC, Jason Franklin (Carly) of Dalzell, Jessie Weatherly (Ricky) of Sumter; two step-grandchildren, Kayleigh Franklin of Turbeville and Parker Weatherly of Sumter. Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, August 21, 2023, at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
