Obituary of Billy Rembert Price

Billy Rembert Price, 89, died Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at his home. Born in Dillon, he was a son of the late Rembert David Price and Leona W. Price. Mr. Price attended Lakewood Baptist Church. He was a retired U. S. Air Force Staff Sergeant with 21 years of service and was also retired from the S. C. Department of Corrections with 14 years of service. He is survived by his kids, Billy David Price, Alice Faye Priest, Dudley Ray Price, Wanda Tennant (Charles), Linda Griffin, Rebecca Nesbitt (Douglas), Thomas Price (Dawn), Douglas Price, and Janice Hope McLeod; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his two dogs. He was preceded in death by his two former wives, Betty Price and Janice Houk Price and his dog, Princess. Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, October 6, 2023, in the Florence National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, 51 Idaho Drive, Sumter.
