On behalf of the Society of Air Force Nurses, please know we are mourning with you the death of our friend and colleague, retired Major Betsy West. She was a remarkable woman who made a difference in the lives of so many as she made her own journey though life. Betsy was both a Charter & Lifetime Member of the Society, and a donation will be made in her honor as suggested. She will definitely be missed by many, and Betsy will not be forgotten by the community of Air Force nurses.

Betsy was a good friend, a compassionate person and for many years the driving influence of our Disabled American Veteran’s Chapter. She always had a kind word. Giving generously of her time as a volunteer at the local Veteran’s Administration clinic and DAV Gamecock Chapter 5 Service Officer. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. RIP Betsy.,

Condolences to Betsy friends & family. We met over 25 years ago as a DAV & Women Armed Forces Corps Veteran. We had lots in common to talk about when we meet. She was kind, intelligent & inspiring. We knew lots about similar places & things of the past Corps of Military & people. Betsy you’ll be missed. You were my NJ Battle Buddy. You always have such infectious smile . Farewell my friend. You’ll always be remembered.
