Obituary of Ann Louise Murrell Shaw

Ann Louise Murrell Shaw. 89 wife of 70 years to Ervin Burns Shaw, died Thursday, December 7, 2023, at her home. Born in Crewe, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Alfred W. Murrell and Louise Skinner Murrell. Mrs. Shaw was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Surviving is her husband of Sumter; two sons, Gifford Murrell (Marian) Shaw and Alfred Ervin (Jeanne) Shaw two daughters, Dorothy Ann Shaw (Tim) Skipper and Louise Shaw (Rafe) Dixon all of Sumter; 10 grandchildren, Christina (Jason) Harman, Stanton (Erica) Skipper, Caroline (Taylor) Motley, Margaret (Michael) Wright, Wesley Ann (Brian) Mann, Elizabeth (John) Reading, Burns (Katie) Shaw, Will (Melissa) Shaw, Anna Louise (Chris) Carter, Julian (Keri) Dixon; 20 great-grandchildren and one sister, Sylvia McFaddin of Sumter. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Stuart Mizelle officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the funeral service. Private family burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stanton Skipper, Burns Shaw, Will Shaw, Julian Dixon, Taylor Motley, Michael Wright, Chris Carter, Brian Mann, and John Reading. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Murrell, Les Murrell, Al Murrell, and Mike McFaddin.
