Obituary of Gayle Baker

Marva Gayle Baker, 65, died Sunday, December 17, 2023, at the Pocataligo River Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born March 6, 1958, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Daniel Baker and Thelma Johnson Baker. Miss Baker was retired from Madison Industries. Surviving is one sister, Debra Wilkinson (Paul) of Pinewood; a nephew Tommy Wilkinson (Lucy) of Greenville; three great-nephews, Maclaren, Owen and Bear Wilkinson of Greenville; three aunts, Rosa Lee Bradley of Sumter, Iris Johnson and Diane Johnson of Pinewood; and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, at Pinewood Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Gray and Rev. Bennie Barwick officiating. Burial will be in the Pinewood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Baker, David Harris, Mickey Johnson, Rodney Johnson, Brian Johnson and Steve LeNoir. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Wednesday in the church fellowship hall prior to the service and other times at the home of her sister. Memorials may be made to Pinewood Baptist Church, P. O. Box 176, Pinewood, SC 29125.
