Obituary of Betty S. Turner

Betty S. Turner, 83, died Saturday, January 6, 2024, surrounded by her family at home. Born in Patton Hill, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Samuel M. Thacker and Gener Thacker. Ms. Turner graduated from Oakman High School. She retired after years of working in the manufacturing and management industry with 10 years in hotel management. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, bingo, playing cards with friends and spending time with her family. Survivors include three children, Mark A. Turner (Tammy), Kevin R. Turner (Cindy), Lisa D. Turner (Roger); seven grandchildren, Christian M. Brown (Jeremy), Michelle L. Turner (Matthew), Troy A. Turner (Erin), Aylissa M. Turner, Jamie Croft (Alice), Bailey D. Turner (Chase), and Sabrina Sharpe; six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Joyce M. Reach (Charles) of Alabama. She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
