Obituary of Mary Walters

Mary Frances Exum Walters, 85, widow of Robert H. Walters, died Thursday, February 15, 2024, at her home. Born in Nashville, GA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Lonzie Exum and Omer Lee Varnadore Exum. Mrs. Walters was a member of Wedgefield Baptist Church. She was retired from Becton-Dickinson and Olan Mills Studios. Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Driggers of Sumter; 5 grandchildren, Becky Dockery (Reno), Michael Walters (Jamie), Tasha Barkley (Emory), Robert Odom (Lyndel), and David Driggers, Jr. (Anna); 10 great-grandchildren, Griffin, Isabel, Amber, Hailey, Robert Jr., Peyton, Caroline, Caelan, Brooklyn and Avacyn; and her significant other, Sidney Smith; and her beloved fur babies. She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Earl and Gary Walters. Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday at Wedgefield Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Goff officiating. Burial will follow in the Wedgefield Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M.
