Obituary of James "Junior" E. Josey, Jr.

James E. Josey, Jr., 69, of Bishopville, died Saturday March 30, 2024, at McCoy Nursing Center in Bishopville. Born in Bishopville, and affectionately known as “Junior”, he was a son of the late James E. Josey and Emily Brown Josey. He retired from Campbell’s Soup and Pilgrim’s Pride. He is survived by a brother, Robert Rahn “Randy” Josey, a sister, Wanda Josey Barkley (Billy), 4 nephews, Jamie Josey (Tory), Jason Josey (April), Jody Josey, Josh Josey all of Sumter; 2 nieces, Jennifer Josey of Sumter and Tiffany Takahashi (Arthur) of Augusta, GA, as well as several great-nephews and great-nieces. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Wednesday at Mt. Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder George Paul officiating.
