Obituary of Bobbie Lee Benton

Bobbie Lee Benton, 83, widow of Lionel Benton, died Friday, March 29, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Cocoa Beach, FL, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Horne and Nina Myrtice Parramore Horne. Mrs. Benton was a member of the Plaza Church of Christ and she was a retired IRS auditor. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Hunter (Jeff) of Hodges, SC and Cheryl Benton of Orangeburg; a son, Larry Benton (Tammy) of Decatur, AL; a sister, Mary Rawls (Don) of Apopka, FL; seven grandchildren, Kelly Edinger (Paul), Holly Sullivan (Chris), Benjamin Douglass (Jennifer), Danielle Warren (Wesley), Matthew Benton, Marsha Conroy, Lauren Benton; seven great-grandchildren, Piper Edinger, Harper Edinger, Bryson Douglass, Allie Douglass, Cheyanne Sullivan, Malakai McGrail, and Everett Cusanelli. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Pegues; two brothers, Wayne Horne and Fred Allen Horne. Memorial Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday at Plaza Church of Christ with Elder Harry Davis officiating.
