Johnny, You and I had our tonsils out at Tuomey on the same day by good ol’ Dr. Walker. Our mothers became good friends that day. Your mother was such a kind person, and always sent clippings when I was mentioned in the newspaper. Love and peace to your family. Martha Walker Fullington

Ms. Tumpy - What a wonderful lady with a great personality and a kind heart. She was so much fun to be around and I loved her very much. Even though I worked for her for a few months we became very close. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Jeanne Hodge Griffith sending my prayers to the Creech family. My father, C.P. "Buddy' Hodge and Mr. John were childhood friends on Purdy St. Before my father passed, he shared great stories of the "Purdy Boys". I would see Tumpy at Covenant Place and exchange stories. She always had a beautiful smile and word of encouragement for me, for everybody. A light has gone out but never forgotten. Thank you, Tumpy. ♥️

I had one of my children in elementary school at Wilson Hall who thought Tumpie was "Mrs. Creature." We both got a laugh from this. She was a darling lady with personality plus Bonnie Moses

So sad to hear of Tumpy’s passing. Mother (Jackie Pitts Jurecek) loved her and so did I. Loved hearing her call me Doodlebug and share memories of my aunt - Betty Riley. She warmed my heart sitting with Ms. Esther reading, eating snacks and giggling at the latest gossip at Covenant Place. Big hugs Tumpy.
