Obituary of Dorothy Rodgers Brice

Dorothy “Dot” Rodgers Brice, 97, widow of William “Billy” E. Brice, died Friday, April 26, 2024. Born in Charleston, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Richard Rodgers, Jr. and Mae Emma Walker Rodgers. Surviving are three sons, William “Billy” R. Brice (Linda), Kenneth Brice (Carleen), and Alan Brice (Robin), all of Sumter; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Thomas Durgin of Sumter. She was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Kathryn Brice Durgin and Teresa Brice; and a son, Matthew Brice (Cindy). Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Friday at the Sumter Cemetery with Rev. Charles Owens officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
