Condolences to Margaret and family.
Glen was close friend in junior high and high school.
He and Margaret were sweethearts during our high school years and its apparent that Margaret trained him well as evidenced by a wonderful family they would eventually have.
His first car was a coupe, either a 1930s or early 1940s model.
Glen broke his arm during our senior year in high school. We won a state champion that year (1954)
As I remember, he and Margaret rode a train with
Other boosters to Houston to root the Eagles to a 14-7 victory in the state champion game.
I am saddened to learn of his passing.

I met LTC Belew when I became friends with his oldest of 4 daughters in 1972. I spent alot of time at their house and the family introduced me to my Lord and Savior, they picked me up for church 3 times per week and supported my baptism at 13 years old. Memories at the Belew home are still held dearly in my heart. His example as a loving father, husband and Christian were extremely foundational for me as a teenager. Eating Sunday lunch after church at their family table are truly precious memories. May he watch over me from above, and his family know the impact he and they had on my life.

Margaret and family, Fred and I were so sorry when we read about Glen in today’s on line paper. We have always thought so much of you and Glen. Fred had so much respect for Glen when he was his commander and that continues today. We will remember you in our prayers. May God wrap His arms around you and give you peace.

Glen was a good, pure, righteous person and a sweet, loving uncle. I love him and I’m awed by the beautiful family he and Margaret created together.
