Obituary of Amanda E. Henderson

Amanda E. Henderson, 90, widow of the late Charles Brooks Henderson, Jr., died Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey. Born, February 28, 1934, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was the daughter of the late Carlos Ybarra and Librada Sanchez Ybarra. She was a member of Plaza Church of Christ and a retired massage therapist. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Farmer of Sumter, a son, Lewis Eaton, of Tybee Island, Ga; a brother, Eliseo Ybrara of Lewisville, Tx; a sister, Libby Martinez of Oklahoma City, Ok; four grandsons, Ross Farmer, Jonathan Eaton, Miles Farmer (Kimberly), Timothy Farmer; three granddaughters, Desiree Famer, Amber Henderson, and Elizabeth Eaton; great grandchildren, Hunter Rogers, Stormie Finotti, Madison Healan, Emma Newman, Ashlin Farmer and A.J. Farmer; and a great-great grandson, Eastongray Caples. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Glynon Darrell Eaton, and seven siblings. The family will receive friends 6 PM – 8 PM Tuesday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral and other times at the home, 2810 Jereco Road, Sumter. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at Plaza Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Mayesville Black River Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
