Mom when you left us you took a big piece of my heart with you. I know you are with Pop now and dancing and singing. You were a very strong woman with a beautiful smile and never met a stranger, Thank you for all the memories you left me with over the years especially the camping trips. You taught me so much and also to be strong like you. Enjoy your wings and I will see you and Pop(Walt) again one day. RIP
Joan was a wonderful person every time I saw her she always had a beautiful smile she was a wonderful friend also my prayers goes out to the family may God be with you she will always be in your hearts
I knew this wonderful lady through her desire to share Sumter SC History. We talked about Sumter almost monthly.
I remember correcting some problems she was having with her computer. This is how we originally met.
Loved this woman and I will miss her dearly.

Joan was my aunt. My mom (Sugar) was her sister. Was so sorry to hear of her passing. Praying for her family. My family lives in Louisiana and it’s been a long time since I’ve seen her. Last time I talked to her on the phone was such a blessing. Heaven is looking sweeter and sweeter everyday. The miles will no longer separate us. I know she will be missed.

I always called her momma and will treasure the memories of us playing cards and going to Yucatán for her birthday. She almost always won in cards too. She was such an amazing person and full of energy and smiles
