Obituary of Sallie S. Nunnery

Sallie Mitchell Stokes Nunnery, 84, died Monday, May 16, 2016, at her home. Born in Newton Grove, NC, she was a daughter of the late George Henry Mitchell and Iula Isabelle Bass Mitchell. Surviving are one son, David Robert Stokes; one daughter, Nancy Mellissia Morris of Sumter; one sister, Mary Ann Ball; four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Carnell, Odell, Roy, Kenneth, and Joseph; three sisters, Estell, Roseshell and Rose Marie. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Thursday at Wells Cemetery with Rev. Bill Tschorn and Rev.Bobby Driggers officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
