William will be missed by many & was a true ambassador of bass fishing In the Sumter area.I met William back in the late 60"s when he & Dr Coffey ran the pharmacy on Broad Street.William started selling fishing & hunting supplies at this location.He started running Sat. bass tournaments & this was the backround for the Sumter Bassmasters that was founded by William & myself.I got my 1st quality rod & reel along with instructions on how to use it from William.A few years later he & several parteners started Williams Sporting Goods at their new & final location.He would help anyone,give instructions,advice & tips on places to go & be successful.Before I left Sumter,I would visit with the gang most every day at lunch but would see William on visits to the store,on the lake or at tournament weighends.I will miss you cuz.Inky
