Obituary of Edward L. Gause, Jr.

Edward L. Gause Jr., 70, husband of Janice Fennell Gause, died Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Palmetto Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Kingstree, he was a son of the late Edward L. Gause, Sr. and Louise Owens Gause. Mr. Gause was a member of Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a retired certified mechanic with Sumter County Public Works. Surviving are his wife of Sumter; his stepmother, Eunice Gause of Kingstree; a son, James Gause (Bridgette) of Chapin; a daughter, Loretta Prescott (Rex) of Sumter; a sister, Sharon Elaine Hannah of Crestview, FL; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Gause and a sister, Janice Gause. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Driggers and Rev. Bill Tschorn officiating. Burial will be in the E. V. Gaskins Cemetery between Lake City and Johnsonville. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M.
