Obituary of Henrietta H. Smith

Henrietta Hudson Smith, 89, widow of Elvin B. Smith, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late John David Hudson, Sr. and Susie Atkins Hudson. Mrs. Smith was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Allen E. Smith and wife Teresa of Elizabethton, TN; two daughters, Shirley Ann McCollister of Sumter and Patricia Ridgeway and husband Boyd of Surfside Beach; three brothers, Jessie Hudson of Sumter; Tommy Hudson and Mike Bochette of Orangeburg; one sister, Catherine Craft of Sumter; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. David Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Wells Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. Friday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
