This is a very hard thing to write, because putting into words my true feelings is sometimes beyond my ability. I'll write the easy part: Luke's life on Earth was a great one! My memory of him will be forever etched into my heart. I feel blessed and lucky to have known him, even if it weren't as deeply as other people, like his close friends and family. He came to my "rescue" in Quebec in 2013 and I'll never forget it, but that is a story for another time. His genuine nature was as pure as gold and as honest as God, who gave him life everlasting, both in birth and death. I truly enjoyed listening to him play his Ukulele, and he inspired my daughter Danielle to ask for one for her birthday a few years ago and learn how to play. She is self-taught, and every time I hear her play it, I actually think of Luke, both before and after the accident. It's amazing the impact J. Luke Hermanson had on people, and I am honored that I was able to do his Senior Year Book page before he graduated last year. I don't remember if I asked him if he liked his page, but I sure hope he did. He is still so very loved by so many, and he always will be!

We loved Luke, like a little brother & we love you all!! And we know, without a shadow of a doubt, Luke glorified the Lord in his living & the Lord is, undoubtedly, being glorified in his dying! One day we will all meet on that beautiful shore - sweet beaulah land!! "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain that which he cannot lose!" Jim Elliot

May the peace of knowing that Luke is resting in Jesus arms fill your mind and heart. My prayer is for your hearts to be filled with the vision of Luke being where we long to be, Standing in the garden next to our Lord Jesus, hearing His voice and knowing that death, nor loss will ever come to him again. He is Eternially and competely with Christ forever more. He will meet you in that Eternity someday with open arm. Never to say goodbye again. God bless you all.

We met Luke during our Fall retreat this past year, and were immediately struck with his smile and the joy of the Lord that dwelled within him. He definitely knew how to make others smile and laugh...and that is an incredible gift! The legacy the Lord left through his life will be felt for many, many years to come. Please know that we have prayed for him and for all of you during this time, and we will continue to lift your name to God.

Our thoughts and prayers to Luke's family. Our grandson, Dean Williams, met Luke at College and became good friends. His few years of life affected many and he will surely be missed.
