Obituary of Lawrence Columbus Morse, III

Lawrence “Larry” Columbus Morse, III, 54, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Palmetto Health Tuomey Hospital.

 

Born in Sumter, he was a son of Lawrence Columbus Morse, Jr. and Rosa Lee Johnson Bradley.

 

Mr. Morse was a member of Pinewood Baptist Church and active at the Sumter Speedway.  He was self-employed in the lawn maintenance business.

 

Surviving are his mother of Sumter; his father of Pinewood; a daughter, Ashley Landreneau (Lance) of MS; two stepsons, Jeremy Thames and Jody Hansen of Sumter; a stepdaughter, Chrissy Hansen of Sumter; three stepbrothers, Logan and Wesley Morse of Pinewood, Jay Bradley of Sumter; one stepsister, Kay Gore of Columbia; five grandchildren, Keylen, J.C., Jordan, Abigail and Blair; and the love of his life, Julie Barwick of Pinewood.

 

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Buddy Bradley.

 

Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Friday at Pinewood Baptist Church with Rev. Kirk Carlisle and Rev. Bennie Barwick officiating.

 

Burial will be in the Pinewood Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
