Obituary of Glenn Christian Baun

Glenn Christian Baun, 58, husband of Betty Davis Baun, died Monday, June 12, 2017, at his home.

 

Born in Buffalo, NY, he was a son of the late Donald Ashley Baun and Joyce Amber Petteys Baun-Ardis.

 

Mr. Baun attended New Start Community Church of the Nazarene and was employed at Metal Finishing Services with 28 years of service.  He was also the owner and operator of Sugarplums Antiques.

 

Surviving are his wife of Sumter; his step-father, Ray Ardis of Sumter; two sons, Jack E. Deal, Jr. of Boca Raton, FL and Glenn Christian Baun III (Carissa) of Sumter; a daughter, Ashleigh Renee Baun-Wheeler (Jacob) of Columbia; a brother, James Alan Baun of Pensacola, FL; a sister, Wende Sue Baun Lodge of Jacksonville, FL; a step-brother, Michael Ardis of NC; a step-sister, Jennie Skelton of Sumter; three grandchildren, Chloe Lane Wheeler, Ezra August Baun and Emery Dae Baun; numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. Wednesday at Sumter Cemetery with Rev. Donna Green and Rev. Russ Baun officiating.

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be employees of Metal Finishing Services, Dr. David Lovice and Dr. Henry Moses.

 

There will be a Celebration of Life for family and friends following the graveside service at the home of his son, Christian Baun, 872 Bay Blossom Avenue.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Start Community Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 4686 J. W. Rhames Road, Manning, SC 29102.
