I wanted to reach out to you during this sad time to offer my condolences. While nothing will completely take away your grief, by meditating on God's promises found in the Bible, you can find real hope and the strength to keep going. I have found the scripture at Isaiah 25:8 to be especially comforting. Here it promises that God "will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."

My prayers are with your family. It was a pleasure to work with Scott and his family over the years and I truly respected his business acumen. The man had a vision and was always looking for a better way to accomplish tasks. Scott was a true leader in the petroleum industry and a great family man. While he is where we look forward to being one day, our world is not the same without him or the likes of John McMaster and Dick Harvin. God bless you all!

I consider myself blessed to have known Mr. Rumph. I became acquainted with him in 1972, following graduation from high school and employment at Sumter Airways. He was an inspiration to me as a young man; always with a smile on his face and never to busy to answer a question or offer advice if it was requested. Luckily, I had to good sense to listen to him, something I wasn't known for in my restless youth. His generosity was incredible, allowing me the use of one of his aircraft in which I obtained my muti-engine rating, something I could not have afforded otherwise. I'll always remember his smooth southern voice as it came over the unicom asking for the airport advisory: "Baron 70G inbound landing." I tried for years to emulate his drawl. He was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word. I wish you blue skies and tailwinds in your journey onward. Godspeed, Mr. Rumph.

Your family is again in my prayers. Mr Rumph was always pleasant and respectful to us kids while over playing with Edwin, who was the greatest guy in my class and still sorely missed. Rejoice Edwin’s parents have joined him in the Kingdom Eternal. Peace and God’s grace be upon you
