Obituary of Jeanette Oxendine McCoy

 

Jeanette Oxendine McCoy, 86, died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at McElveen Manor.

 

Born in Sumter, a daughter of the late Mansfield and Nellie Benenhaley Oxendine, Jeanette loved cooking and spending time with her family and going to church when she was able.

 

She is survived by three sons, Leon Paul McCoy of Dalzell, Billy Joe McCoy of Dalzell, and Michael McCoy (Michelle) of Sumter; a daughter, Janice M. Hughes (Wayne) of Manning; a step-son, Jesse McCoy (Jessica) of Sumter; a very special nephew, Toby Oxendine (Joan) of Dalzell; a brother, Burgess Oxendine (Chris) of Sumter; a sister, Marion Benenhaley of Dalzell; ten grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth McCoy, Jennifer Lynn McCoy, Zachary Paul McCoy, Paul Adam McCoy, Jessica Nicole McCoy, Billy Joe McCoy, Jr., Justin Bradley McCoy, Michael Austin McCoy, Kari Nicole Hughes, Corey Wayne Hughes; and 10 great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Ralph Oxendine and Burgess Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow in Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Janice Hughes.
