Obituary of Cleveland L. Holladay

Cleveland Lavern Holladay, 71, husband of Chrissy Gainey Holladay, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence.

 

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Clifton Holladay and Ora Bell Stephens Holladay.

 

Mr. Holladay was a retired self-employed construction worker and was a U. S. Navy veteran of Vietnam.

 

Surviving are his wife of Sumter; three sons, Tony Holladay and Christopher Holladay both of Sumter and Michael Holladay (Sherry) of Covington, VA; a daughter, Jennifer Langston (Allen) of Dalzell; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Holladay.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Vince Gainey officiating.

 

Burial will follow in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. Sunday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
