Jenny Salo, 65, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Lexington Medical Center in Lexington.

 

Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late James Robert Griffin and Marie Avins Griffin.

 

Jenny was retired from the South Carolina Department of Social Services with 30+ years of service. 

 

She is survived by a brother, James Robert Griffin Jr. (Trevia) of Pinewood; three nieces, Traci Benna of Charleston, Sylvia Lynch and Jami Brooke Griffin of Sumter.  Jenny enjoyed many years with her significant other, John Teague, Jr.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Friday at the Sumter First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Greg Pressley officiating.

 

Burial will follow in the Sumter Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M. at the church prior to the service.
