The death of your loved one is the most devastating experience your family will face. At times, the pain of the loss will feel unbearable. Please know that there are friends who care about you and your family during this difficult time and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. We pray that Jehovah the God of all comfort is with your family throughout this difficulties of grief.

Charlie and family: I saw your mother's obituary and wish to express my condolences. The Baldwin family of Bennett's Point brings back many wonderful memories of fishing and hunting with Son Smoak, Frank and Billy and many other colorful personalities. You may or may not recall that Andy and I were roommates at Furman for our first two years. There are many humerous stories and since I liked to hunt and fish, I thought I had gone to Heaven when i went do there. When I get drawn for a State drawing for Bear Island, I immediately of all that we did there. I recently read Billy's book and it was only a step down spirtually from going to Heaven. I think I still am using your family's recipe for shrimp and grits for breakfast. Bobo Reynolds and I talk about that group when we get together, and I have given thought about buying in on there house at Bennett's Point several times. My son Benjamin is very close to Dick Riley (and his is a dear friend of mine as well) and Ben knows about Tunky's brother's place down there. What a special place!
I hope your family is comforted in the passing of your Mother, and I really wonder if Heaven is any prettier than Bennett's Point and the surroundings. Regard;s, Butch Barnhill
