Obituary of Terry W. Edwards

Terry Wayne Edwards, 53, husband of Angela Anderson Edwards, died Thursday, February 11, 2016, from injuries sustained in an accident. Born in Marion, he was a son of Jimmy Edwards and the late Geraldine Floyd Yarborough. Mr. Edwards was self-employed in the tree service business. Surviving are his wife of Sumter; his father of Marion; a brother, Jerry Edwards (Rachel) of Lake City; stepbrothers, Mark Yarborough (Joan), Cale Yarborough (Sylvia) and Eric Yarborough (Frances) all of Sumter; step-sisters, Linda (Bill) Gordley of Georgetown, KY, Vivian Browder (Rick) of Sumter; sisters-in-law, Patsy Yarborough, Sherry Carmon (Joey); brothers-in-law, Michael and Robbie Anderson; and his father-in-law, Bobby Anderson all of Sumter; a special niece, Nicole DeForest; 15 nieces and nephews, 28 great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Edwards; a step-father, Albert Yarborough; and a step-brother, Wayne Yarborough. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Tuesday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Bowman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 1722 Pinewood Road.
