Obituary of Hershel Dean Hyde

Hershel Dean Hyde, 79, husband of Theresa Brown Hyde, died Sunday, September 29, 2019 at his home.

 

Born in Robbinsville, NC, he was a son of the late Calvin Bruce Hyde and Mary Emma Stewart Hyde.

 

Mr. Hyde was a self-employed engineer.

 

Surviving are his wife of Sumter; a step-daughter, Kathy Barkley of Sumter; four brothers, Randy Hyde, Calvin Hyde, Danny Hyde and Jimmy Hyde; two sisters, Joyce Moore and Eva Nesbitt;

3 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by a son, Hershel Hyde, Jr and a daughter, Alice Hyde.

 

Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M. Thursday in the Lakeside Outreach Ministries Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Griffin officiating.

 

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
