Obituary of Peggy Delores Geddings Turner

Peggy Delores Geddings Turner, 74, widow of Isadore Turner, died Thursday, November 21, 2019, at her home.

Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late John Huggins Geddings and Letha Schroeder Geddings.

Mrs. Turner was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was a retired SC Dept. of Agriculture Inspector.

Surviving are one daughter, Lisa Avins (Dondi) of Sumter; one grandchild, Kelvin Avins; one brother, Frank Charles Geddings (Glenda) of Hiawassee, GA; a sister-in-law, Pat Geddings of Sumter; a brother-in-law, Pancho Polanco of New Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Isadore Russell “Rusty” Turner; a brother, John “Johnny” Huggins Geddings; and a sister, Betty Polanco.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Fraser officiating.

Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Saturday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 4585 Bethel Church Road.
