Obituary of Lillie Johnston Barwick

Lillie Johnston Barwick, 89, widow of West Barwick, died Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the National Healthcare Center.

Born in Sumter May 25, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Johnston and the late Edith Rogers Johnston.

Mrs. Barwick was of the Christian faith.  She was retired from Bosch and Jack & Jill Day Care Center.   

Surviving are three sons, Wesley Barwick (Terri) of Dalzell, John Barwick (Tracie) of Lexington, and Jason Barwick (Tricia) of Florence; four daughters, Nancy Hudson of Davis Station, Sandra Watkins (Wayne) of Sumter, Beverly Strickland (Danny) of San Antonio, TX and Brandie Barwick (Vern) of Sumter; one brother, Rev. Daniel E.  Johnston of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ina Johnston and one brother, Ernest Johnston.

Services will be private.

The family would like to thank National Healthcare Center and Caris Hospice for their devoted care of Mrs. Barwick.
