Obituary of Jesse Isiah Coleman

Jesse Isiah Coleman, 89, widower of Beverly Ann Carter Coleman, died Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at the National Healthcare Center.
Born in Florence, he was a son of the late Clarence I. Coleman, Sr. and Rhoda Mae Hickson Coleman.
Mr. Coleman was a member of Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea and was retired from Campbell Soup Company.
Surviving are two daughters, Gaye Coleman Weaver (Rad) of Sumter, Jessica “Betsy” Coleman Phillips (Jeff) of Lynchburg; four brothers, Clarence Coleman, Bill Coleman, Bob Coleman and Jim Coleman; six grandchildren, Victoria “Tori” Vincent (Chris), Ethan Weaver, Cole Phillips, Cody Phillips, Cassidy Phillips, Cheyanne Phillips; one great-grandchild, Carter Vincent; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Renee Coleman; two brothers, Buck Coleman and Roy Coleman; one sister, Virginia Bowen (Powell).
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday at the Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Thursday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
