Carolyn Flowers Ramsey, 99, widow of Harry L. Ramsey, died January 7, 2020.
Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Wade Hampton Flowers and Carrie Watts Flowers.
Mrs. Ramsey was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She received her degree from the University of South Carolina Nursing Program and was a retired registered nurse. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the SC Order of the Amaranth, the Daughters of the Nile and Zoar FCL “Homemakers Club”.
Surviving are four sons, George A. Nettles III of Greenville, Wade Nettles of Sumter, Richard Nettles of Bluffton and Harold Nettles of Columbia; a sister, Tillie Keer of Sumter; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a stepson, Harry “Lee” Ramsey, Jr; four stepdaughters, Dee Toci, Debra Nettles, Denise Brown, Donna Garner and Dena Miller.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry S. Flowers.
Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
